May is almost here! And the weather forecast for the end of the week looks stellar.. dare I say, summer-like. It provides just enough hope to straggle through these few wretched, rainy days. In anticipation of May Day, I've been busy making some posies. I used practically all the scrapbook paper, ribbon, and spring faux florals we had in the house. (Regretfully, we don't have any real spring blooms to speak of yet... still waitin' on the red tulips to open. Anyhow, faux florals it will be!)
Here are the four styles I managed to come up with...
Paired Patterns
Floral scrapbook paper to make the cone, with a fun hint of stripes on the inside.
Minimalist Chic
All white flowers and ribbon.
Complementary Colors
Recap of grade school art here... Yellow and purple are opposites on the color wheel, so they naturally make each other look good. Same goes for orange with blue, and red (or pink) with green. Always makes for a eye-catching combination. :)
Lavender's Blue Dilly Dilly
Lavender sprigs, lilacs and a soft white rose make for a cool and serene bouquet.
Wishing you all a lovely May Day!
Thank you for stopping by,
Eva
