Today is the last of the Thirty Days Thankful challenge! And so to conclude, I am grateful for holidays and reasons to "deck the halls." :) Decorating is such fun! Tablescapes, wreaths, Christmas trees - all are perfect blank canvases waiting for some glitz and adornment.
For the December desktop download, I used a photo of last year's Christmas tree. The theme was particularly opulent and involved piling on every single shiny ball and metallic ornament we owned onto the tree. A bit time intensive to decorate (and undecorate!) but the the effect was very lush and sparkly. Little Eva would have approved. ;)

Also happening in December is Dressember! If you haven't heard of it, Dressember is a movement to bring awareness to human trafficking. Since it began in 2013, the organization has raised millions of dollars - funds which go to aid victims of modern slavery. Aside from donating to the cause, you can take part in the Dressember Challenge by wearing a dress every day in December (or men can wear ties.) I'm going to give this challenge my best shot.
Interested in learning more? Visit the Dressember website here! And if you would like to make a donation to this important cause, I've set up an advocate's page for the Heartland Lady blog.
As I did with the Thirty Days Thankful challenge, I'll group the Dressember posts together, sending out one every few days. Don't want to barrage with wonderful subscribers with daily emails! :)
'Til next time,
Eva
