Happy Easter, all! Well, Holy Week has come to a close, and my fingers are still attached after all that piano playing. :) What a busy and exciting week it has been. Speaking of exciting, the long-awaited Easter dress! And we were so blessed with warm, beautiful, sunny "dress weather," reaching 69 degrees this afternoon. On April 12th, it seemed that we would never have such a nice Easter, when it looked more like this...
But it was a gloriously bright day, with green blades of grass springing up from the ground, as per the hymn, "Now the Green Blade Riseth."
So about the dress.. I've had this blush, balloon-sleeve gem since last year, when I wore it for a composition recital. (Watch the performance here.) The pastel color and feminine details just scream, "Spring!" :) This dress is still available in a few different colors at Dillard's and Macy's. A bit on the pricey side, so as I always say, hold out for a good sale. I kept accessories to a minimum, as I didn't want rings or bracelets to hinder my piano playing in any way. Here, I'm wearing a simple pair of pearl drop earrings that I crafted in high school. And my trusty nude pumps nearly match the shade of the dress, making them the obvious choice.
Hope you all had a lovely Easter holiday with your families and friends, full of music, joy, ham, and chocolate! (Not all at once, of course. Ham and chocolate together may not be very palatable, haha.)
'Til next time,
